grumpy = bad-tempered
这个形容词可以用在很多场合形容人们不高兴的心情，比如饿肚子的时候，早上有起床气的时候，或者大姨妈驾到的时候等等。
fall for something
To be tricked into believing something that is not true. 就是“上当受骗”。例如：
I’m surprised you fell for that trick.
如果后面接somebody，则是另外的意思，表示“深深地被某人吸引，爱上某人”，例如：They fell for each other instantly.
cut somebody some slack
To be less critical of somebody or less strict with them. 对某人不要太苛刻、严厉。例如：
Hey, cut him some slack! He’s doing his best!
