give it a rest
Used to tell somebody to stop talking about something because they are annoying you.
就是“你可省省吧，你可别说了”之类的意思。
Give it a rest! You’ve been complaining all day.
还有个表达有着同样的感情色彩叫做Give me a break! (Used when somebody wants someone else to stop doing or saying something that is annoying, or to stop saying something that is not true).
gaydar
The ability that a homosexual person is supposed to have to recognize other people who are homosexual.
这个应该是从radar搞过来的词。就是一眼能看出别人是不是同性恋的能力。
My gaydar just went off. 就是我的gaydar有反应啦，前方发现好基友。
bite somebody’s head off
To shout at somebody in an angry way, especially without reason.
大家不要直译成“把某人脑袋咬下来”，他的意思是“对某人乱发脾气，吼某人。”
这个表达在《极品老妈》里很常用，可能大家都比较容易lose control吧……
