有一个表达叫做break the news to somebody, which means to be the first to tell somebody some bad news. 在日常对话中，我们经常会听到I hate to break it to you. 就表示“我真不想、真不忍心告诉你这个不太好的消息”。有个表达在感情色彩上很类似，在各路美剧中也出现过，叫做burst somebody’s bubble, which means to bring an end to somebody’s hopes, happiness, and things like that. 比如：He seemed so happy, I couldn’t burst his bubble so soon.

　　A bummer means a disappointing or unpleasant situation. 根据语境，可以理解成“真扫兴”、“真讨厌”、“真可惜”等等。比如：It’s a real bummer that she can’t come.

　　Be allergic to在这里表示“过敏”，不过它其实还有另外一个意思，就是having a strong dislike of something or somebody. 比如：You could see he was allergic to housework.

　　Blow somebody away在这里表示to impress somebody a lot or to make them very happy. 有个特别类似的表达，叫做blow somebody’s mind，用法差不多。比如：Wait till you hear this. It’ll blow your mind! 那由它衍生的形容词mind-blowing就表示very exciting, impressive or surprising. 比如形容非洲大陆的美，就可以用the mind-blowing beauty of Africa.
