美东时间11月7日11时26分(北京时间11月8日0时26分),美联社、CNN、NBC等多家主流媒体宣布美国民主党提名的总统候选人拜登赢得了拥有20张选举人票的人口最大摇摆州宾夕法尼亚州。
这意味着,拜登获得的选举人票已经超过270张,已经跨过当选门槛。
Joe Biden 也发了推特:
America ,I'm honored that you have chosen me to lead our great country.
The work ahead of us will be hard, but I promise you this: I will be a President for all Americans--whether you voted for me or not.
I will keep the faith that you have placed in me.
美国人民,我很荣幸你们选择我来领导我们伟大的国家。

在讲话最后,拜登援引特朗普的就职演说,以作结尾。他说:“让美国这个可怕的妖魔化时代,从现在、在这里结束吧。”
With full hearts and steady hands, with faith in America and in each other, with a love of country and a thirst for justice, let us be the nation that we know we can be.
