高考是“高等学校招生全国统一考试“的简称。在我国大部分地区，现阶段在每年的6月7日和6月8日进行，也就是说，今天高考就正式落下帷幕了。那么”高考“用英语怎么说呢?我们一起来学习吧*_*。

　　“高考”用英语怎么说?

　　首先，英美国人对高考的理解貌似跟我们不太一样，有些人认为它可以笼统地算作一场考试，因此用的是单数exam;而有些人认为它是一系列的考试，所以要用复数exams，各有各的道理。

　　其次，这个“高”(高等学校)是翻译成college还是university?我们常常听到的解释是“college是学院，而university是综合性大学”。其实都可以，尤其是在美国英语中，MacMillan English Dictionary - American是这样解释college的：in the U.S., a place that gives students degrees. A school of this type can also be called a university if it is large enough to give degrees in more than one subject。

　　因此，“高考”可译为：

　　the national college entrance exam

　　直译是“全国大学入门考试”。

　　注意事项：

　　1. 每个单词一般都不大写，除非在句首;

　　2. 其中的college说成university也可以，exam用exams也可以。
