There is nothing quite like the sinking feeling that comes with turning over a test paper and realising you don't know what the answers are.

These pictures reveal some of the cheeky, imaginative anddownrightcomical wrong answers given by clueless students when presented with a question that leaves them stumped in exams, including one who was asked: 'The first cells were probably...?', to which they answered: 'lonely'.
