话说，前段时间，外媒公布了路易小王子的出生证明(birth certificate)。

　　但令人惊奇的是，小王子父母的职业一栏中，郝然写着亮闪闪的几个大字——

　　Prince of the United Kingdom

　　(英国王子)

　　Princess of the United Kingdom

　　(英国王妃)

　　什么玩意?这年头，职业都可以是王子、王妃，这难道不是头衔嘛....

　　那么嫁入王室前，凯特王妃干的是什么工作?

　　2005年从圣安德鲁斯大学(University of St Andrews)毕业后，凯特王妃曾经短暂的接触过两份工作。

　　Before she was a staple of the royal family, Kate Middleton was just a regular human trying to find a way to make money with her art history degree.

　　凯特在还没有打上皇室标签以前，艺术史毕业的她也像普通人一样，也得挣钱。

　　After Kate graduated from St. Andrews in 2005, she held two normal person jobs before royal wedding planning and, later, royal engagements became her life.

　　而凯特王妃的第一份工作地点就是在自家的公司——Party Pieces，主要售卖派队用品，像是横幅、礼品袋、头饰等等。

　　First, she worked for her family's business, Party Pieces, which sells party supplies. Having a family business to work for is a certain kind of privilege.

　　她的第一份工作供职于其家族企业，主要售卖派队用品。在自己家的企业工作多少带着些特权。

　　Party Pieces是由于凯特王妃的父母Carole and Michael Middleton一手创办。

　　而创办的想法主要来源于王妃的妈妈。

　　当时，凯特只有5岁，Carole一直找不到价格适中的派对专用礼品袋。其中看到商机的她，果断开设一家专门卖价格便宜的派对用品公司。

　　The business, which the couple established when Kate was just five-years-old, supplies products like decorations, party bags and favours for everything from children's parties to hen dos.

　　凯特王妃5岁的时候，这对夫妇就决定做生意，主要提供装饰品、派队礼品袋以及其他任何在孩子派队所需要用过的东西。

　　而凯特王妃的第二份工作是英国品牌Jigsaw的兼职饰品导购(accessories buyer)。

　　名字听起来很高大上，但干的事情比较琐碎，更像是私人助理，像是做一些跑腿、为模特提供零食的工作。

　　Her job tasks included such menial duties as running errands and bringing tea and snacks to the talent on the set of photo shoots.

　　她的工作一般都无关紧要，主要包括一些跑腿、给在店铺拍摄模特提供茶和零食等任务。

　　据当时一起工作的员工透露，当时凯特王妃十分友善，没有因为和王子交往就摆架子。

　　"She sat in the kitchen at lunchtime and chatted with everyone from the van drivers to the accounts girls," said Belle. "She wasn't precious."

　　Bella说，“那时，午餐时间她就坐在茶水间里，和各种各样的人聊天，从货车司机到收银的小姑娘都有，没有一点架子。”

　　Jigsaw的创始人之一Belle Robinson当时就称赞过凯特非常成熟，应付狗仔也是非常得当。

　　"I thought she was very mature for a 26-year-old, and I think she's been quite good at neither courting the press nor sticking two fingers in the air at them," she said. "I don't think I would have been so polite."
