5月17日，中国华人文化基金旗下引力影视、旗舰影业与美国华纳兄弟影业、美国亚比利娱乐公司共同开发制作的中美合拍电影《巨齿鲨》，正式宣布由好莱坞动作巨星杰森·斯坦森和中国演员范冰冰担任男女主角，共同挑战史前巨兽。华纳兄弟影业同时宣布影片计划于2018年3月2日登陆北美院线。

　　《巨齿鲨》改编自美国作家史蒂夫·艾尔顿同名系列科幻小说。一项由中国主导的国际科研项目，正在马里亚纳海沟深处进行时，遭遇未知生物攻击，科研人员被困海底。前美国海军陆战队深海潜水专家乔纳斯·泰勒受命前往营救，再度遭遇数年前曾经在深海给自己留下终身难以磨灭记忆的史前生物巨齿鲨。乔纳斯联手科研项目中的中国女科学家张苏茵成功营救了被困人员，但营救行动却意外造成了巨齿鲨逃离深海。当史前巨兽重返浅海，人类将为自己对大自然的贪婪付出惨重的代价...(新闻来源:网易娱乐)

　　Chinese Star Fan Bingbing Joins Jason Statham in Monster Movie 'Meg'

　　Chinese actress Fan Bingbing, who appeared in X-Men: Days of Future Past, has joined JasonStatham in Meg, the creature feature being made by Warner Bros. Pictures and Chinese companyGravity Pictures.

　　At the same time, Warners has set a March 2, 2018 release date for the feature, which will bedirected Jon Turteltaub, best known as helmer of the National Treasure movies. Gravity willdistribute the film in China while Warners releases it throughout the rest of the world.

　　Dean Georgaris wrote the latest script for the project, which has been swimming upstream for 20years in order to adapt the book by Steve Alten. It centers on a Carcharodon Megalodon, the70-foot, 40-ton prehistoric kin to the great white shark.

　　The studio put forth the plot of Meg as such:

　　An international underwater observation program, led by Chinese scientists, is under attack by anunknown danger, and its deep-sea submersible lies disabled and trapped at the bottom of theMariana Trench. With time running out, former Naval Captain and expert deep sea diver JonasTaylor (Statham) is recruited by Dr. Zhang Suyin, lead oceanographer of the program, for whatis likely a suicide mission.

　　Years before, Taylor had encountered this same terrifying threat, which forced him to abort hismission and abandon half his crew, resulting in disgrace and a dishonorable discharge. Now,Taylor must confront his fears and risk his own life to save everyone trapped below…bringing himface to face once more with the apex predator of all time.

　　Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Belle Avery and Colin Wilson are among the producers on Meg.

　　Fan’s next English-language movie is Skiptrace, the Renny Harlin-directed action movie that starsJackie Chan and Johnny Knoxville.
