　　Taylor Swift and Kanye West are friends now, but it didn't start that way. After West's infamous "I'mma let you finish" rant at the 2009 MTV VMAs, the rap star was blasted from all corners of the news cycle -- and even Barack Obama called him a "jackass."

　　West apologized to Swift the next week, and did so again on Twitter the year after. Now it's all water under the bridge. "I feel like I wasn’t ready to be friends with [West] until I felt like he had some sort of respect for me,” Swift told Vanity Fair. “And he wasn’t ready to be friends with me until he had some sort of respect for me — so it was the same issue, and we both reached the same place at the same time."
