Boris Johnson on Tuesday won the leadership of the UK's governing Conservatives, defeating rival Jeremy Hunt in a poll of party members. Johnson is expected to be named the country's new prime minister on Wednesday. The leadership contest followed Theresa May's decision to resign last month after failing to get her Brexit deal through Parliament. Johnson, a 55-year-old Conservative Member of Parliament, was the UK's foreign secretary from 2016 to 2018 and also served two terms as London mayor. He will travel to the Buckingham Palace on Wednesday to ask Queen Elizabeth II's permission to form a government.
英国前外交大臣鲍里斯·约翰逊23日“喜提”保守党党魁一职，将接任英国首相。但在他还没当上首相前，英国内阁已经刮起了一阵“离职潮”。目前已有3位内阁大臣明确宣布辞职，另有多位大臣也表示将辞职。
据英国《独立报》23日消息，在鲍里斯宣布当选保守党党魁后，英国教育大臣安妮米尔顿正式宣布辞职。她在写给特雷莎梅的一封信中明确表示，对英国不达成协议就脱欧“感到非常担忧”。
据《泰晤士报》报道，英国大法官兼司法大臣大卫·高克当天也宣布辞职。高克此前曾表示，他无法为约翰逊政府效力，并且会在被解雇前辞职。
而在英国新任首相公布的前一天(22日)，英国外交国务大臣艾伦·邓肯就宣布了辞职。《泰晤士报》时政编辑斯威福德透露，“艾伦·邓肯已经辞职，他于今早提交了辞职信。”
