Chengdu University is teaching students how to properly climb a tree using professional equipment as part of the school’s leisure sports major, reports the Chengdu Economic Daily.

　　据《成都商报》报道，作为学校户外运动专业的一部分，成都大学正在教学生如何使用专业设备攀树。

　　Currently there are 20 students enrolled in the new course. At the end of the training, the students face an exam that tests their climbing skills, along with their ability to set-up the climbing equipment and their knot-tying techniques.

　　目前有20名学生报名了这门新课程。在训练结束后，学生们将进行考试以测试他们的攀爬技能，以及安装器材和打绳结的技术 。

　　Tree climbing is a recognized outdoor sports event, said Li Zhonghua, the outdoor sports teacher at the university that is teaching the course. He said it has become an independent industry that has created new kinds of jobs.

　　该校户外运动老师李中华(音)说，攀树是公认的户外运动项目。他说，这个行业已经成为一个独立的行业，创造了新的就业机会。

　　"It constitutes a current trend for the industry, and we are developing students’ skills for their future career," he added.

　　他还说，“这是该行业目前的趋势，我们正在为学生未来的职业发展培养技能。”

　　He pointed out that steps have been taken to protect the safety of the students and the health of the tree.

　　他指出学校已采取措施保证学生的安全，并且让树木能健康成长。
