Three ISIS militants were mauled to death by a herd of wild boar moments after committing a massacre.

　　Five other terrorists were injured in the rampage by the beasts who attacked them in southern Kirkuk.

　　It is understood the boars went on a frenzied rampage near farmland in al-Rashad region, 53km south of Kirkuk.

　　Sheikh Anwar al-Assi, a local tribal chief, told The Times that the militants had hidden among somedense reeds.

　　“It is likely their movement disturbed a herd of wild pigs, which inhabit the area as well as the nearby cornfields,” he said. “The area is dense with reeds, which are good for hiding in.”

　　ISIS have taken control of areas in southern Kirkuk where thousands of civilians have had to flee.Some have even been killed for attempting to flee the province to refugee camps. Officials claim they are urging the government to do more in terms of security efforts to free ISIS-held land.
