然后是美国较官方的Foreign Policy杂志的报道
Title:The Word That Broke the Chinese Internet
标题:热词席卷中国网络
It might be gibberish, but it’s also a sign of the times. The word duang, pronounced “dwong,” is spreading like wildfire throughout China’s active Internet – even though 1.3 billion Chinese people still haven’t figured out what it means.
也许这是个乱语,但是这也是当今的标志。新词”duang”的发音是“dwong”(英文发音哦亲们!),如野火般迅猛地席卷了中国网络——即使13亿中国人仍然搞不清这个词的意思。
再看看美国io9的比较娱乐的报道
Titile:Jackie Chan Invented The Chinese Character That's Now A Viral Smash
标题:成龙发明的汉字如病毒性的蔓延大热
A new Chinese character, "duang," has gone viral. Nobody's sure what it actually means, but Jackie Chan has everything to do with it.
新汉语词"duang"火了。没人确信它究竟是什么意思,但反正和成龙有关。
这则报道非常贴心的给出了用法:
A kitten might be "duang cute," for example. Or you might be "very duang confused" by this blog.
举个例子,小猫咪可能是“可爱得duang~"。或者你可能看这篇博客整个人都"迷茫得duang~~~"
duang都惊动英国天才歌姬JessieJ了。她在微博里贴出了一张自己《BANGBANG》单曲的恶搞封面四处询问:所以duang到底是什么鬼啊!!!
我duang我骄傲~
