David Kenny and his family were visiting some friends near Brisbane, Australia when his 2-year-old son Alexander managed to wander off unnoticed. Before anybody even realized he was gone, the family dog Leala came running into the house barking like crazy.

　　David followed the 9-year-old Staffordshire terrier to a nearby dam, and when he got there, he nearly collapsed with panic at the scene that he found…

　　the child was lying face-down and unconscious in the water. He pulled his son out and immediately began performing CPR to try to revive him…

　　亚历山大脸朝下漂在水中，没有任何意识。他把孩子救上岸后立即实施心肺复苏术企图让孩子醒过来……

　　David performed CPR for 27 minutes before the paramedics finally arrived and stabilized Alexander. He was flown by helicopter to a hospital in Brisbane, where he was put in an induced coma. The doctors informed David and his wife Lisa that if their son pulled through, he would likely have brain damage.

　　大约27分钟的心肺复苏施救后医护人员终于到达现场并稳定了亚历山大。直升机把他送到了布里斯班当地的一家医院，并且医生给他实施了诱导性昏迷治疗。医生告诉大卫和他的妻子，尽管亚力山大能挺过这一关，醒来以后也可能会变成植物人。

　　Two days later, though, Alexander shocked everyone when he awoke from the coma and began breathing on his own! Within a matter of weeks, he was back to normal with no brain damage whatsoever, which doctors attributed to the time David spent performing CPR on him.

　　尽管医生如是说，但两天以后，压力山大从昏迷中醒来并且还能自己呼吸，这震惊了所有人!也就是几周的事，他就恢复了而且大脑没有受损等等，医生将其归功于大卫为亚历山大及时做的心脏复苏。

　　Although doctors gave David the credit, he and Lisa know that without Leala’s heroic actions, they very well could have lost their son. Thankfully, Alexander is doing just fine and Leala is happy as always to have her best friend around to play with!

　　尽管医生把功劳都给了大卫，但他和妻子知道如果是leala的英勇行为，他们非常有可能失去儿子。谢天谢地，亚历山大现已无恙，而leala也和往常一样和她最好的伙伴一起继续玩耍。
