全国各地过冬至:冬至吃什么?

冬至(每年12月22日或23日)是一年中白昼最短、黑夜最长的一天。冬至为二十四节气之一,特别为人们所重视,全国不少地方都有“冬至大如年”的说法,过冬至像过年一样隆重。
人们在饮食上可会大做文章,冬至应节食品各地不一,北方人通常会吃饺子和羊肉汤,而“汤圆”是南方家庭冬至必备的食品。你的家乡通常会吃啥呢?
The Winter Solstice (on December 22 this year) may be theshortest day of the year, but this traditional Chinese festival it’snever short on tasty eats and treats. People in northern China eat dumplings and mutton soup tocelebrate the festival, while Southern families congregate for bowls of hand-made Tangyuan (akind of small dumpling ball made of flour) .
Dumplings went from being a traditional food rarely eaten outside Asia to a part of global cuisinein a matter of decades.
Tangyuan, or glutinous rice flour balls, are a famous Southern Chinese treat that come in a slew ofsweet and exotic fillings, such as rose petal jam, jujube, black sesame, bean paste, walnut anddried fruits. Tangyuan served on Dongzhi are believed to bring good luck and symbolize familyreunion.
Northern China is famed for its mutton soup, featuring a mix of tasty offal served piping hot tohelp cut through the cold Northern winters.(globaltimes)
