中国富豪在加拿大出手阔绰已经成为当地媒体常常报道的事情之一，今年早些时候，在温哥华最贵房产榜上排名第16的一座豪宅，以3110万加元(约1.5亿人民币)的高价被一名中国“学生”收入囊中，创下2016年温哥华豪宅成交纪录。这座豪宅占地1.7英亩(约6879平方米)，面积14663平方英尺(约1356平方米)，拥有5间卧室和8间浴室，从资料照片看来，装修也十分豪华精致。
据称，买主资料的职业一栏中简简单单地填着“学生”，购买的这座房子却堪称温哥华最贵，让人难以置信。除了多个卧室、浴室，3层豪宅还包含景观游泳池、剧院，房子周围看得到史丹利公园和北岸海景，视野极好。
