　　If there ever was a voice of authority on Marvel issues, it would be Stan Lee’s. Now, after the initial explosion of finding out that Steve Rogers has apparently been a double agent for Hydra all along, Lee is speaking out about his thoughts on the twist.

　　“It’s a hell of a clever idea,” Lee said at a MegaCon panel. “I don’t know that I would ever have thought of it for him to be a double agent, but it’s going to make you curious, it’s going to make you want to read the books, they’ll probably do a movie based on it.”

　　Putting aside the fact that they’ve already made a movie about Hydra’s infiltration of SHIELD — which Steve (Chris Evans) fought tooth and nail to prevent — we have to agree with one part of Lee’s statement : It made us curious.The “Captain America” frenzy had barely begun to wane after the “Captain America: Civil War” premiere, when this new broke, and more than a few fans of the movies no doubt decided to dig in to the comics to see what the fuss was all about.

　　In fact, this news kind of stepped on another Marvel franchise in the process. If you haven’t heard a word about the “X-Men: Apocalypse” premiere this weekend, it’s because people are still too upset about the Cap news.Whatever you think of the newest jaw-dropping twist in “Captain America’s” story, it served its purpose and got us all talking about the comic books again.
