Then he’s forced into that position of working against Darhk — testifying against him — which doesn’t make him a happy bunny.True enough he goes ahead and kills my daughter. Funny how this was telegraphed all along and none of us really saw it coming.The same could be said for the audience. We knew from the Season 4 premiere that somebody was dying, but when Laurel was killed it came as a shock.And how is he handling the grief?Well, this is kind of what’s killing him. It was Laurel who got him through the grief of Sara seemingly dying. She’s not here to get him through this grief and that kind of terrifies him. Laurel’s been the cornerstone of his life, really — his moral compass and everything.If it wasn’t for Donna Smoak being around, I dread to think what he’d be doing. it’d be very hard not to be back on the bottle.So she’s the rock he can lean on at this point?Yeah! There’s some scenes in episodes toward the end of the season where you see that shift of her now being the new moral compass in his life. It’s beautiful, really. If she wasn’t around, I think he’d lose his S-H-I-T a bit.And how does the loss of his daughter change his dynamic with Team Arrow?We’ll see that in the finale really, so I can’t talk about that too much. But I think he’s cemented a pretty strong relationship with these guys and he’s got a strong respect for Oliver now. There’s a bond between them. Obviously it’s a terrible thing, but this grief will probably be the most bonding thing between them all.
