　　之前也有新闻说到过暂时没有考虑过开发衍生剧，但是乔治RR马丁完全不同意，在一个最近的采访中，开发了这部剧的冰与火之歌的作者评论说维斯特洛还有很多可能性，制片人还能很多关于权力的游戏的历史没有开发

　　“很明确的是我们不缺素材，就像是我小时候看到的电视剧裸城，每一集裸城都用旁白结尾,裸城里有八百万的故事，这只是其中之一，同样维斯特洛也有那么多的故事，在Essos 和别的土地上还会有更多。一个充满故事的世界，等着人们去发现，如果HBO感兴趣的话”

　　Game of Thrones season 6 is just around the corner, and as the cast and creators wrap up the press tour leading up to the season premiere, secrets are still being revealed. But one of the biggest bombshells to drop along the way has to be the reveal that there have been talks aboutshorter future seasons — and a series finale.

　　Topping off that news is word that no spinoffs have been considered for the series, which creator George R.R. Martin (like many fans) completely disagrees with. In a recent interview, the author of the A Song of Ice and Fire book series that spawned the show commented on Westeros’ potential and how showrunners could mine the rich history behind Game of Thrones.

　　“There is certainly no lack of material. Every episode of The Naked City – one of the television shows I watched as a kid – ended with a voice-over: ‘There are eight million stories in the naked city. This has been one of them.’ There are eight million stories in Westeros as well … and even more in Essos and the lands beyond. A whole world full of stories, waiting to be told… if indeed HBO is interested.
