　　Game of Thrones is having a grand old time torturing fans with the "is Jon Snow really dead?" question.

　　In new promotional posters released Wednesday, Jon Snow's (Kit Harington) dead face makes an appearance -- as do the bald, dead faces of several other Game of Thrones characters both living and dead. The images, modeled on those seen in the Hall of Faces, include Melisandre (Carice van Houten) and Oberyn Martell (Pedro Pascal), the latter of whom is dead and the former of whom is very much alive and probably going to resurrect Ned Stark's bastard.

　　The mystery around whether or not Jon Snow is really dead has been the main topic of conversation around Game of Thrones this offseason. Stars of the show have offered conflicting opinions, and HBO has put out promotional material featuring Snow both alive and dead. This latest one is particularly fan-baiting, since Snow's image was the first one in the series released. In other words, "Hey, look, Jon Snow's dead... but so is everyone else! Trust nothing!"

　　The posters are a piece of the promotional campaign that kicked off earlier this month with a trailer that also took place in the Hall of Faces, the magical assassins' den where Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) has been hanging out. Memorably, the Hall was the setting for Arya getting her eyesight taken away last season, as punishment for borrowing a face and carrying out the unsanctioned killing of Meryn Trant (Ian Beattie).
