美国洛杉矶当地时间2015年12月14日下午5点，《星球大战：原力觉醒》在著名的好莱坞大道上举行了史上最盛大的电影全球首映礼。出席本次首映礼的包括星战系列的原班经典主创乔治·卢卡斯、劳伦斯·卡斯丹、哈里森·福特、马克·哈米尔、凯利·费雪、配乐大师约翰·威廉姆斯等，也包括《星战7》的新主创阵容，如导演、制片人兼编剧的J.J. 艾布拉姆斯、好莱坞金牌制片人凯瑟琳·肯尼迪、金球奖男主角奥斯卡·伊萨克、奥斯卡女配角露皮塔·尼永奥、《衰姐们》男主角亚当·得利弗、《权力的游戏》“布蕾妮”扮演者格温多兰·克里斯蒂、天才新秀黛茜·雷德利、约翰·波耶加等。

　　值得一提的是，卢卡斯的好朋友史蒂夫·斯皮尔伯格也来到首映礼现场，他走完红毯后，和卢卡斯进入杜比剧院并坐在一起。电影放映前，迪士尼公司CEO 鲍勃·伊格尔(Bob Iger)、迪士尼电影公司主席阿兰·霍恩(Alan Horn)、凯瑟琳·肯尼迪、J.J. 艾布拉姆斯等人在杜比剧院进行了发言致辞。当凯瑟琳·肯尼迪说到“没有乔治·卢卡斯，就没有星球大战宇宙”时，大屏幕把镜头给了卢卡斯，全场3000多位观众起立热烈鼓掌1分钟，表达对卢卡斯深深的敬意。

　　Excitement over "Star Wars" is reaching fever pitch in Hollywood, and celebrities are out in forcefor the premiere of "The Force Awakens". The red carpet event, which has taken on a Super Bowlor Oscar like feel, will stretch more than four blocks, with screenings at three theaters along theboulevard. Part of the excitement comes from the return of Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, CarrieFisher as Princess Leia, and Harrison Ford as Han Solo.

　　It's a night Hollywood likely won't soon forget.

　　"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is making its highly anticipated world premiere Monday in LosAngeles, and it is literally stopping traffic. Police closed Hollywood Boulevard for the premiere atthe TCL Chinese Theatre, the cinema where the original Star Wars opened in 1977.

　　Even the stars of the film couldn't believe the grandeur of the film's debut in America.

　　"I am so excited and honored really, too. I can't believe I am here actually, I should be veryprofessional and cool actually, and say 'It's all perfectly normal' - no it isn't, it's bloomingmarvelous!" actor Anthony Daniels said.

　　Max Van Sydow, who plays Lor San Tekka, said fans won't be disappointed in the world J.J.Abrams has created.

　　"He (J.J. Abrams) is a brilliant director. He knows how to keep things going in front of the camera,and he knows how to give the story a rhythm that works and how to get excitement. I am verymuch looking forward to see what we will see tonight," Sydow said.

　　Actor Harrison Ford said after so many years, it was good to be back.

　　"You know, there is a lot of admirable characteristics to the opportunity. I mean first of all, peoplehave been anticipating this film for a long time. And that is a good thing. We had a really goodscript, and J.J. (Abrams) is a director that I really admire and have for a really long time. I waspleased to be back," he said.

　　And for Mark Hamill, the movie is a retirement plan.

　　"It's nice to have a job lined up for my twilight years so that's really a nice, it's like a pensionerplan now that I'm a Jedi elder," said Hamill.

　　Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o said landing a part in "The Force Awakens" was beyond real.

　　"I didn't really believe it. I was like, 'OK, I guess I'm gonna be a part of 'Star Wars'. It's momentslike these where it hits me time and again what it actually means," Nyong'o said.

　　As for costar John Boyega, it was fandom as well as stardom.

　　"I feel great, I feel fantastic, and I feel surprisingly relaxed. This is like an environment where I feellike 'is loving enough'? I'm a 'Star Wars' fan so, I feel like we're paying homage to a film that Ireally respect, so I feel good," Boyega said.

　　"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" opens December the 18th.
