很难相信詹姆斯·卡梅隆指导的首部以3D技术拍摄的电影《阿凡达》已经过去了6年，当年270亿的票房神话，打破了有史以所有电影票房的记录。

　　这位奥斯卡最佳导演的获得者在过去几年里一直同剧作家乔什·弗莱德曼，里克·杰法，阿曼达·斯尔沃，肖恩·萨莱诺一道专注《阿凡达》续集三部曲的创作。这三部电影的剧本创作本计划于去年的7月完成，但在最新的采访中，卡梅隆表示他们仍在对剧本的内容进行修饰。

　　在接受《娱乐周刊》杂志的独家采访中，卡梅隆表示，“目前我正在做三个剧本的事情，只是对他们进行必要的改善工作。电影美工的设计工作和剧本创作是同时进行的，到现在为止，历时一年半的美工设计已经完成。所有的角色，拍摄场景还有影片中的出现的生物都准备就绪了”

　　卡梅隆能继续第一部的票房神话吗?卡梅隆在采访中回答，“显然，大家都对《阿凡达》系列电影抱有很高的期待，尤其是该系列的第二部。为了证明《阿凡达》不是昙花一现的作品，我们不得不加倍努力。但业界人士都认为我是在给自己找麻烦。“

　　《阿凡达2》有望于2018年12月上映，而第三部也有望在2019年上映。

　　Hard to believe but it has been 6 years since 20th Century Fox released James Cameron's technological breakthrough Avatar, which shattered box office records left-and-right and finished its run with $2.7B.

　　The Oscar-winning filmmaker has spent the past several years working on scripts for three Avatar sequels with screenwriters Josh Friedman, Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver and Shane Salerno. All three scripts were expected to be completed by July of 2014, but in a new interview Cameron says they still need polishing.

　　"I’m in the process of doing another pass through all three scripts right now," Cameron told Entertainment Weekly. "Just refining. That’s in parallel with the design process. The design process is very mature at this point. We’ve been designing for about a year and a half. All the characters, settings and creatures are all pretty much [set]."

　　Can Cameron even come close to duplicating the first film's success? "Obviously, expectations are going to be very high on these films, especially on Avatar 2, to make sure it wasn’t just some big fluke the first time," Cameron admitted. "So we’ve got to deliver. I’ve created a nice rod for my own back, so they say."
