With the first vampires sired by the Mikaelsons coming into the picture, a new danger is setting over Season 3 of “The Originals.” Obviously, the sired vampires are looking to preserve their bloodlines, even if that means wiping out another line entirely by killing a Mikaelson other than their own sire.

　　That danger could hit especially close to home for Klaus (Joseph Morgan), as he’s no longer just fighting for himself. After vanquishing Dahlia once and for all in Season 2, he now has possession of his daughter Hope, making her an obvious target.

　　这对于Klaus来说异常危险，毕竟他不再只为自己而战。在第二季让Dahlia永远消失后，现在他已经得到了他的女儿Hope，而这也让Hope成为最明显的攻击目标。

　　“I think in general, Hope is both Klaus’ greatest strength and his greatest weakness,” series creator Julie Plec tells Zap2it during a group interview. “The fact that he is capable of that kind of love gives him a sense and a core of humanity that he needs as a person, as a vampire, to not be this miserable, immortal, ancient creature that will never know love.”

　　“That being said, when you love somebody then someone can use it against you,” she continues. “Frankly, that is what one of these new characters that comes to town is saying. ‘You’re at risk, man. You’re vulnerable and your attachments make you vulnerable.'”

　　“也就是说，当你爱某个人的时候，那么有人就会利用这一点来对付你。”她继续说道，“其实，这就是其中一个新角色来到这个小镇时说的话，’你有危险了，兄弟。你现在不堪一击，而正是你的感情让你变的如此脆弱。’”

　　“In a way, Hope is something brand new. She’s not sired, yet she has vampire blood in her system,” he says. “Haley was made a hybrid by her baby’s blood, so who is her sire?”

　　“某种程度上，Hope是全新的生物。她没有认祖归宗，但是她体内有吸血鬼的血。”他说，“Haley通过她的宝宝的血成为了混血儿，那么谁是她血脉上的祖先呢?”

　　With these two existing outside of the trio of sires, it opens the door to an entirely new mystery, and possibly a new line of vampires somewhere in the future.

　　第三季有这两个与众不同的角色存在，这就指向了一个全新的秘密，很可能是未来某个地方出现的一支新的吸血鬼。

　　“The Originals” returns Oct. 8 on The CW.
