hold off的本意是推迟，延迟，特指雨或风暴的话，意思是延缓，迟迟不来。
Let's hold off making a decision until next week.

2. put sth up
put up是个超级常见的短语，在这里是张挂，悬挂的意思。
这里分享一下它的常见用法：
①举起，抬起，升起;高高固定起
Why don't you put up your umbrella?
你怎么不撑伞?
②建造
They're planning to put a hotel up where the museum used to be.
他们打算在原来的博物馆那里建一个宾馆。
③张挂，悬挂;张贴
We've put up some new curtains in the living room.
我们在起居室里挂上了新窗帘。
④提供(资金)，借(钱)
The money for the new hospital was put up by an anonymous donor.

3. go so far as
有人夸Louisa很美是女神，Larry说这太夸张了。
go so far as to do sth的意思是做事情走极端：
It's good, but I wouldn't go so far as to say that it's great.
