City Dwellers 都市人
Could you please tell me what we call people from the same place? I just know a word 'countryman' which means people from the same country. So is there any word expressing people from the same province or city?

The word 'countrymen' describes people who come from the same country but what do you call people who live in the same city? In this week's programme we explain some of the words we can use.
Some are formal, such as city dwellers or urban dwellers and others are more informal, such as townies, urbanites or city slickers.

However, most people who reside in a city are given a nickname based on the name of where they live. So people from London are called Londoners.
